‘Abbott Elementary’: ‘The Bears’ Ayo Edebiri guest stars as Janine’s sister

the bear’Ayo Edebiri will join ABC Abbott Elementary Edebiri will guest star as Ayesha Tiggs, Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) sister, on the hit Emmy-winning comedy series.

Janine has spoken about her sister frequently throughout the series and the strained relationship the two had. Idebiri’s character will be introduced in the Valentine’s Day episode on Wednesday, February 8 In the episode, Janine and Ayesha connect over a FaceTime call when Janine calls to wish Ayesha a happy birthday, according to EW, which first reported the casting. He will be seen in bigger storylines later this season.

Abbott Elementary Follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — assembled at a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. While these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underpaid, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

Brunson Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis and Sheryl Lee Ralph created the series and stars as Janine Tiggs.

Brunson also executive produced the series. Additional executive producers are Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacher and Randall Einhorn of Delicious Non Sequitar Productions.

Edebiri plays Sidney Adamu the bear, FX’s breakout dramedy series, a role that earned her nominations from SAG, Gotham Awards, Indie Spirits and Critics Choice. He has appeared and worked as a writer on Netflix big face And Dickinson.
