‘Ant-Man’ star Hannah John-Kamen and ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Theo Rossi to lead sci-fi thriller ‘Rachel’ – EFM

Exclusive: Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Theo Rossi (Son of anarchy) is all set to star in the sci-fi thriller Rachelwhich Highland Film Group is launching for next week’s EFM

The film will follow new mother Rachel (Jon-Kamen) who has a seemingly perfect life but doesn’t remember the recent birth of her child or even being pregnant. Her cookie-cutter husband Stephen (Rossi) distracts her probing questions when strange neighbors start stalking her. Flooded with memories of an 11-year-old girl who seemed to be her daughter, the film will chart how Rachel’s perfectly constructed world begins to fall apart.

The film is directed by Jane Wexler, who made her directorial debut with the SXSW horror film the ranger and finishing post production Sacrifice game Starring Mena Masood and Olivia Scott Welch, and written by playwright Vincent Delaney.

Produced by Jib Polhemus (last son, Expendable 2) and Volition Media’s Michael Jefferson (The land of evil) film is executive-produced by Adam Beasley and Cindy Brew of Volition Media.

Highland is representing global rights to start production this spring in Minnesota.

Known for rising actress John-Kamen Ready Player OneNetflix mini-series Agungtuk, Welcome to Resident Evil: Raccoon Cityand most notably for his role as the villain Ghost in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. He will reprise his role in the upcoming film lightning.

Theo Rossi recently starred opposite Aubrey Plaza in the Sundance title Emily the Criminal, which earned him Best Supporting Performance in an Indie Spirits. He is best known for Marvel Luke Cage, Son of anarchy And Army of the Dead. She will next be seen opposite Jason Bateman, Taron Egerton and Sofia Carson in the thriller directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. continue For Netflix and Amblin.

John-Kamen has been replaced by Luber/Rocklin and Paradigm; Rossi is repped by Paradigm, Entertainment 360 and Shrek Rose DaPelo; Wexler is repped by CAA, Hitman Studios and attorney Chris Abramson.
