Chloe Bailey, Tosin Cole, Olivia Colman and Woody Harrelson to star in Bob Dylan-inspired ‘Girl from the North Country’
It stars Chloe Bailey, Tosin Cole, Olivia Colman and Woody Harrelson North country girlAdapted from the Tony Award-winning Broadway show of the same name inspired by Bob Dylan’s song.
The movie adaptation was written and directed by Connor McPherson, the playwright behind the original hit Broadway musical.

CAA Media Finance will represent domestic sales of the film with Rocket Science launching international sales at the upcoming Berlin Film Festival.
The original Broadway show reimagines 20 legendary Bob Dylan songs, including forever young, All along the watchtower, hurricane, A slow train is coming, Make You Feel My Love And Like a rolling stone.
Set in 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota during the Great Depression, the play revolves around a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect at a guesthouse filled with music, life and hope.
Things are spiraling out of control for owner Nick Laine (Harrelson). His wife Elizabeth (Coleman) suffers from dementia. The bank is foreclosing on their home. Their adopted daughter, Marian (Bailey), has a closely guarded secret that no one can explain.
When escaped convict Joe Scott (Cole) seeks refuge at the guesthouse, Marianne and Joe develop a relationship that will change everything for everyone in an everlasting love story.
Dylan said of the original show: “Associating with Connor is one of the highlights of my professional life. It goes without saying that the man is a genius for putting this thing together and I’m thrilled to be a part of the experience. My song couldn’t be in better hands. A Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter-musician, Bailey is one half of the musical duo Chloe X Hal and is best known for her work on ABC. big-ish And black-ishand more recently in feature films JaneStarring Melissa Leo.
