‘Coup!’: Peter Sarsgaard Satire Wraps Production, Film Constellation Shares First Look — EFM

Exclusive: Principal photography wrapped in New York State Coup!A period satire starring Peter Sarsgaard and directed by Austin Stark and Joseph Schuman.

London and Paris-based production, finance and sales company Film Constellation is handling world sales and bringing the film to EFM.

Set on a seaside estate in the United States during the Spanish flu of 1918, the film follows a rebellious servant who leads a rebellion against his wealthy employer.

Sarsgaard (Batman, The Lost Daughter, DopsicStars alongside Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, The Many Saints of Newark, Game Night) and Sarah Gadon (Upcoming Ferrari, Star Map, Enemies)

Coup! Brian Levy for Entertainment 360, Werner Davis and Todd Friedman of Hemlock Circle Productions and Harris Gurney produced as well as Molly Connors, Amanda Bowers and Jane Sinisi for Fiffen. Executive producers include Fabian Westerhoff, Magnussen through his Happy Bad Bungalow banner, and Peter Sarsgaard.

The production hopes to wrap up the film in time for this year’s Autumn Festival.

Sarsgaard is represented by Anonymous Content, WME, and Peikoff Mahan. Magnussen is repped by Anonymous Content, UTA, and Sloane, Offer, and Weber and Dern. Gadon is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, Creative Drive Artists and attorney Jeff Bernstein. Stark and Schumann are repped by Entertainment 360 and Chris Tricarico (Tricarico Chavez LLP).
