‘East New York’ adds Kelly Hook in a recurring role

Exclusive: Kelly Hu (BMF, the orville) Joined the cast of the CBS series East New York A recurring role. She will make her debut in episode 112 titled “Up in Smoke” aired on February 19.

She will play Alison Cha, a strong and straightforward political policy advisor shadowing Suarez (Jimmy Smits) to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of the NYPD.

From William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn, East New York Follows Regina Haywood (Amanda Warren), a newly promoted deputy inspector in East New York, a poor, working-class neighborhood in the East End of Brooklyn. He leads a motley crew of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy his creative methods of serving and protecting the early seeds of social uplift and gentrification.

The series also stars Jimmy Smits, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard Kind, Olivia Lucardi, and Lovell Sly.

Hu is currently starring in Season 2 of the Starz hit series BMF The Friday night airing stars Detective Veronica Jean. He most recently starred as Union Admiral Ozawa in Seth MacFarland Orville. Additionally, she starred in Netflix’s Finding Ohana and starring in Lifetime Lifetime list.
