Joy Bihar’s line about missing friends on ‘The View’ brings a faux tear to Whoopi Goldberg’s eye
Jai Vihar said something he shouldn’t have said The scene. This time, it was about one of his colleagues.
In the show’s “Hot Topics” segment discussing the importance of friendship in the workplace, Behar talked about her one-time sabbatical from the show. She said she was happy when she was evicted, as her “friends” from the show had already left.
“I always have friends where I work, and if I don’t have friends at work, I won’t have a job,” Behar said. “So, the last time I got fired from this show, people said to me, ‘Were you right?’ And my answer was, I was happy, because all my friends had already left. So there was no reason to stay. I mean it.”
Goldberg was part of the panel when Behar left and immediately brought it up. “Really? all Your friends gone?” She then faked a cry using trembling lips. “It’s okay, I’m cool,” she joked.
Behar quickly clarified.
“You just arrived, and my backstage friends are gone. And I don’t like to work without my friends,” Behar said.
Goldberg let him off the hook. He said they had been “friends for a long time” and he was just “teasing”.
Behar vowed that he would not go anywhere. Comparing his 80-year-old self to President Joe Biden, he said he’s “not getting out of this seat.”
