Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, Santino Fontana and others set to dramatize ‘Lost and Found in Cleveland’

Exclusive: Impossible Dream Entertainment and Double G Films have lined up a stacked cast for their dramatic comedy. Lost and Found in Cleveland, marks the feature debut of writer-directors Marissa Guterman and Keith Garchak. The film, currently in production in Cleveland, is helmed by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Martin Sheen (Grace and Frankie), Golden Globe nominee Dennis Haysbert (far from heaven), Oscar nominee June Squibb (Nebraska), Golden Globe winner Stacey Keach (Nebraska), Independent Spirit Award winner Yvette Yates Reddick (Innate habits) and Tony Award winner Santino Fontana (Broadway’s Tootsie)

An adult drama aimed at audiences that was recently produced by Paramount and has a fifth season 80 for Brady a blow, Lost and Found in Cleveland Billed as a new American fiction about the post-industrial American Dream in the Industrial Midwest – a 24-hour slice-of-life narrative that follows the personal odysseys of five very different people whose lives intertwine while on America’s favorite television show. The project is produced by Doug G’s Gutterman and Gerchak, William K. unemployed (My friend Dahmer), Yvette Yates Reddick (day shift) and Sean Redick (go away, BlackKlansman) Broadway veterans Hunter Arnold (Dear Evan Hansen) and Kevin Kevin McCollum (Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story) is serving as executive producer. Yvette Yates Reddick and Shawn Reddick’s Impossible Dream Entertainment will represent domestic rights and bring in foreign sales partners.

“Dressed in a palette of pastels, nostalgia and hope, Lost and Found in Cleveland an Americana portrait that will feel both familiar and magical to viewers,” Guterman told Deadline. “This is a fable that honors the small dreams that come big to the everyday heroes who dare to believe.”

Gerchak added: “We always say it’s ‘Best in Show’ meets ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ Wizard of Oz There was an allegory about the American Dream at the turn of the last century. If the Scarecrow represents the farmers and the Tin Man represents the factory workers, then each of our characters represents a piece through modern America. And instead of a heart or a brain, our heroes bring their objects to our wizards, the appraisers … only to discover that the answer to self-worth lies within.

“From the hallowed halls of Old World Market to the stalls of the local flea market, Cleveland has a nostalgic quality, an archival Americana, with hints of a grand past spanning decades. The underlying theme is hope — and we can’t think of a time when it’s needed more,” Guterman and Gerchak continued. “Our everyday heroes travel through the competitive world of televised antique appraisals to an unknown future in America’s Rust Belt. Highlighting the drive and concern that the characters bring to their mission, contrast the urban world of the academic elite with everyday Clevelanders doing their best in the reality of the new American dream.

Yvette Yates Reddick told us that “Marissa and Keith have created a beautiful story and film, viewers will surely laugh and cry together.”

Her Impossible Dreams partner, husband Sean Reddick, added that “Lost and Found is a commercial, heartfelt and fun movie that will be very popular with mature audiences and will definitely cross over to a wider demographic worldwide.”
