NBCUniversal head of sales and partnerships Linda Iaccarino appointed group chair of UK management firm YMU
Linda Iaccarino, head of advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, has been named group chair of UK management firm YMU.
The new role is not expected to interfere with Iaccarino’s day-to-day responsibilities at NBCU, where he is directly responsible for more than $10 billion in ad revenue annually. The official announcement of his YMU post said he would “work closely” with the firm’s chief executive officer Mary Bekhait, but gave no details on the collaboration. YMU’s client list includes Paris Hilton, Simon Cowell, Emily Ratajkowski and Steve Aoki. Last spring, the company launched a US entertainment division, installing former UTA and ICM execs in key posts.
Bekhait, who becomes YMU’s CEO in 2021, said Yaccarino’s appointment “brings tremendous impact that will add value to the elite clients we represent.” The executive will aim to help YMU, which already operates globally, further build its global footprint. “We share a similar vision of how the entertainment landscape is evolving and how we can make a meaningful difference to the global culture shapers and talent that YMU represents,” added Bekhait.
Founded in 1984, YMU is active in several verticals including film, TV, music, sports and publishing.
“We all know great talent when we see it. Be it on stage, on the field, in front of and behind the camera, on every platform—you name it—epic performances stick with us,” said Iaccarino. “And for decades, I’ve supported top talent with premium content as well as global brand growth. The group represents the most exciting, elite-level talent in the global culture space supported by an unparalleled, industry-leading world of experts. I look forward to working with Mary and the exceptional YMU team to support the continued growth of the global personal brand.”
