‘Operation Fortune: Rouge de Guerre’: Lionsgate sets spring release for Guy Ritchie action-comedy
Lionsgate is set to distribute the action-comedy Operation Fortune: Rous de Guerre, Directed by Guy Ritchie for Miramax. The movie starring Jason Statham (F9)Hug Approval (Glass onions), Aubrey Plaza (white lotus), Josh Hartnett (Lucky number Slevin), Cary Elwes (rebel moon) and Bugsy Malone (the gentleman) will be released in the US on March 3.
The pic will compete with MGM/UAR in its opening weekend at the box office Religion IIIMichael B. Directed and starring Jordan, as well as a horror-thriller Hunt rate, kill rate From Welcome Villain Films. Its story centers on super spy Orson Fortune (Statham), who must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology run by billionaire arms dealer Greg Simmonds (Grant). Reluctantly working with some of the world’s best operatives (Plaza, Elwes, Malone), Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco (Hartnett) to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world.
Operation Fortune Ritchie’s third film for Miramax, On the Hill the gentleman And human anger and joins the director Ministry of Civil War On Lionsgate’s upcoming slate. The studio picked up domestic rights to that WWII film with Henry Cavill this morning, just ahead of EFM, as we first told you.
Directed by Richie Operation Fortune From his script with Evan Atkinson and Maron Davies (the gentleman, human anger), also producing with Evan Atkinson and Bill Block. Miramax and STX Entertainment served as co-financiers.
Miramax’s upcoming films include Robert Zemeckis here Starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright; David Ayer Action beekeeper Starring Statham; And Alexander Penn’s Paul Giamatti is back on the team Holdover, which was sold to Focus in a record-breaking deal at last year’s Toronto Film Festival, as we first reported.
