Phoebe Dinever to star in thriller ‘Wichita Libra’; Mr. Smith sets EFM sales launch, UTA handling North America

Bridgerton Actress Phoebe Dinever will star in the Kansas-set thriller Wichita Libra As a woman trying to solve a dark historical crime that has torn her family and rural town apart.

The thriller is the second feature from writer and director Henry Dunham, and follows Standoff at Sparrow Creek which premiered in Toronto in 2018.

The film was produced by Jay Van Hoy (the lighthouse, the witch And American loss)

Currently in pre-production, Wichita Libra The shooting started this year. Mr. Smith Entertainment will handle international sales at EFM and UTA is handling North American rights.

The play is set after a triple murder in the protagonist’s hometown in rural Kansas, causing him to flee to Chicago and start a new life.

A decade later, he is brought back home to decode a cryptic letter left by his brother after his death, suggesting that the wrong person has been accused of the crime and that an anonymous missing woman may clear his name.

Dynevor’s latest film, Chloe Domont’s psychological thriller Fair playIt premiered at Sundance this year to acclaim, prompted a $20 million global acquisition deal by Netflix — one of the biggest sales in the festival’s history — and is already earning the actress early awards buzz.

The actress also recently wrapped Miramax’s new thriller legacy For director Neil Berger opposite Rhys Ifans.
