‘Power Book II: Ghosts’: James St. Patrick’s Legacy Lives On in Season 3 Trailer

James St. Patrick is gone but certainly not forgotten. His spirit lives on through his son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) as evident in the trailer for Season 3 of the hit Starz series. Power Book II: Ghostsabove

The show returns with new episodes on March 17 on St. Patrick’s Day.

The trailer shows Tariq truly coming into his own as part of the underworld and finding comfort in places like his father. True to the flagship series, the strip clubs and nightclubs evoke memories of wheeling and dealing. strength

Young St. Patrick even has his own “Tommy” by his side, Brayden (Gianni Paolo), and they’re looking to make Wall Street-level money. Method Man’s Davis McLean stepped out of the courtroom and took on a big role in Tariq’s life. With the guidance of a smart and diligent attorney, the sky is the limit.

The resemblance between Tariq and Ghost is so stark, it prompts the former’s grandmother Estelle (Debbie Morgan) to say it out loud in previews.

“I am not like my father; I’m smarter than that,” Tariq tells his grandmother before the camera pans to show the ghost’s grave marker. (Is he even there?)

Tariq runs wild on the streets—an easy task now that his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton) and family are safe in witness protection—but he still has to pay Piper, Your Name’s Monet (Mary J. Blige). The cards seem stacked against him but I wouldn’t bet against the cheetah against the wall because that baddie will bite.

Seasons 1 and 2 Power Book II: Ghosts Currently available to stream via Starz.
