‘Reboot’ officially follows the search for a dead new home

It’s final – there won’t be a second season for the Hollywood-centric comedy reboot, Created and executive by modern family Co-creator Steve Levitan.

After the series’ recent cancellation by Hulu, Levitan and producer Studio 20th Television tried to find another home. There are finished scripts, produced by a writers room that worked on a potential second season, that were sent to potential buyers. That effort is now exhausted, and Reboot If formally ended. Levitan is an indication of that Twitter post monday

“Well, that seems like a wrap reboot,” she wrote. “So proud of our amazing cast and crew and what we’ve accomplished together.”

He took a subtle jab at Hulu’s treatment of the series, saying, “Haven’t seen it? If you find it, watch us on Hulu,” and ended his message with “#UnintentionalLimitedSeries.”

The single-camera comedy describes how a 2000s family comedy is being rebooted on Hulu, with the original cast returning to reprise their roles. The series stars Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville. Judy Greer, Rachel Bloom, Callum Worthy, Christa Mary Yu and Paul Reiser.

Levitan served as an executive producer Reboot Alongside Daniel Stockdyke and Jeff Morton.
