Starz Series ‘The Venery of Samantha Bird’ Adds Henry Cherney and Doug Savant
Exclusive: Starz New England-set eight-episode drama series, Samantha Bird’s Veneryadded mission impossible Actor Henry Cherney and Great housewife Actor Doug Savant in a recurring role.
Katherine Langford stars as Samantha Byrd, who, while visiting family in New England, reconnects with her childhood sweetheart (Finn Jones) and falls into a seemingly perfect storybook romance. But beneath their fever dreams lies a more disturbing interpretation of the matter. The series has been described as a haunting portrait of addictive love and a relationship response to families in a small New England town.

Czerny will play Teddy, Samantha’s father and a former artist and teacher. Theodore “Teddy” Bird moves to Little Yorn with his wife, Nan, reuniting with their longtime friends Al and Carol Minot.
Savant plays Al Minot, a shrewd businessman who is deeply invested in maintaining the town of Little Yorn, as it has been for generations.
The two actors join previously announced cast members Embeth Davidz ((The Morning Show)Brenda Strong (13 Reasons Why), Adam Faison (Everything will be fine), Shalini Bathina (Little Voice), Francesca Real and Tyrone Marshall Brown (love is) Anna Moriarty series created by Larissa Kondracki (Power, better call Saul) is a director of four episodes, including the EP and the pilot. Czerny returns this summer, 25 years later, to reprise his famous role of Kittridge opposite Tom Cruise. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part 1 In theaters July 14.
