‘The Penguin’ Adds Michael Kelly, Shohre Aghdashloo and Deirdre O’Connell to Cast

Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Jack Ryan), Shohreh Agdasloo (Expanse, sand house and fog) and Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range, Dana H on Broadway) has been added to the HBO Max original series Penguin (working title), from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. They are previously joined in the cast by Colin Farrell, who plays the title character, Christine Milioti, who plays the female lead Sofia Falcone, and Renzi Feliz, who is believed to be playing a teenager whom Penguin befriends and makes his driver.

The eight-episode drama continues the Batman crime saga Matt Reeves began with Warner Bros. Pictures. batman And the focus of the character Farrell plays in the film.

The series is executive produced by Reeves; Dylan Clark; Farrell; Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner; Craig Zobel, who directed the first three episodes; and Bill Carraro. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane, including Bill Finger, Penguin Produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with Reeves and 6th & Idaho under an overall deal. 6th & Idaho’s Daniel Peepsky also serves as executive producer and Rafi Krohn as co-executive producer.

Limited series production begins this month in New York.
