Zoe Saldaña and AGBO Action Pic ‘The Bluff’ Drops at EFM in First Major Deal for Prime Video Snapping International

Exclusive: A hot package at EFM went down late in the day and cooked up the first big deal on Berlin soil.

Zoe Saldana and AGBO action-survival film The BluffWhich was set up on Netflix a few years ago, is now marketed by Rocket Science and CAA and has already been snapped up by Amazon Prime Video for all international, we understand.

It was a very lucrative deal that was agreed today in the $20M range after strong interest from multiple buyers.

Set in the 19th century Caribbean, the film will follow a former female pirate (Saldana) who must protect her family when mysterious sins from her past catch up to her.

This will be the first time Saldana and Russo join forces Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: Endgame. Saldana is the coming box office juggernaut Avatar: The Path of Water.

Frank E. flowers (Untitled Bob Marley biopic) is directing the project, which will be produced by Anthony and Joe Russo, Mike LaRocca and Angela Russo-Otstott for AGBO Everything, everywhere, all at once. Sisters Zoe, Mariel and Cicely Saldana (from scratchProducing for Cinestar.

The script is from Joe Ballerini (A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting) And Flowers Saldana and Flowers previously teamed up for the crime drama Together Haven.

Rocket Science is handling international and CAA Media Finance is handling domestic.

Prime Video, Rocket Science and CAA declined to comment on the international distribution deal.
